This week, let’s continue the conversation on preparation by reflecting on the next step of our journey: cultivating resilience through prayer, community, and purpose-driven action.

As we deepen our preparation for the calling God has placed on our lives, we must also recognize that the road is not always smooth. Just as Jesus prepared for the cross through intense moments of prayer and connection with the Father, we are called to strengthen our spiritual resilience. Resilience isn’t simply about enduring hardships but about thriving in the midst of them, drawing closer to God with every challenge.

Prayer Preparation: Drawing Closer to God

In Luke 22:44, we see that Jesus was in such anguish that He prayed even more earnestly. His prayers were not only an expression of his fear and sorrow but also of his trust in God’s plan. In our own lives, prayer becomes the foundation for resilience. It’s not just about asking for relief from pain but seeking God’s presence in the midst of trials.

This week, let’s reflect on our prayer lives. Are we turning to God not just in moments of crisis but consistently, inviting Him into every area of our lives? In this season of preparation, let’s commit to deeper, more intentional prayer, aligning our hearts with His will.

Community Preparation: Strengthening One Another

Jesus did not face His trial alone; He had His disciples with Him, even though they were unable to stay awake during His final hours of prayer. He knew the value of community, and we are reminded that in the hardest moments, we are not meant to walk the journey alone.

This week, let’s strengthen the bonds of our communities. Whether it’s through a small group, accountability partners, or family, let’s be intentional in supporting one another. Let’s pray for and encourage each other as we prepare for what God has called us to. There is power in shared faith, and we are stronger together.

Action Preparation: Living with Purpose

Jesus' preparation wasn’t just about inward focus. He knew He had a mission to accomplish. Every moment leading to the cross was a step toward fulfilling God’s purpose for His life.

For us, this week calls us to live with intention and purpose. Are we taking action that aligns with God’s calling? Are we serving others, sharing the gospel, and actively participating in the mission God has set before us? In this season of preparation, let's not only reflect but also act—moving forward with faith and courage to fulfill the work He has for us.

As we continue to prepare our hearts, minds, and bodies, let us also prepare our spirits for the power of resilience that comes from deepening our relationship with God, building strong communities, and living out our purpose with boldness. This Lenten season is not just about the fast but about the forward movement of our faith.
