Examen Prayer - Prayer For Family

Find a Quiet SpaceSettle In:  Be Still. Still your mind by taking a few deep breaths to center yourself in God's presence. Ask Him to help you be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10).

Gratitude

Recall Moments of Gratitude: Lord God, You have been so faithful. You constantly surround me and my loved ones with blessings and allow good things to happen, both big and small. Each blessing we receive is intentionally planned by You.

Give Thanks: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever" (Psalm 107:1). I thank You, Lord, for each moment that has led us to today. Thank You for Your constant intentionality towards us and Your never-ending provision for my family.

Ask for Guidance: Holy Spirit, I ask for Your guidance today. Help me to see my family and loved ones through Your eyes. Speak to us and give us clarity and insight.

Recall the Day: Father, as I mentally walk through my day, I notice my feelings, thoughts, and actions. I bring to mind each moment and reflect on them. I think about the challenges of the day as well as the victorious moments.

Notice God's Presence: Father, I thank you for allowing my family and I to have moments then we felt Your presence. Thank you for allowing us to feel surrounded by Your love, and giving us the ability to embrace your joy and peace. "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1). You are always with us, guiding and providing for us.

Acknowledge Mistakes: Father, I acknowledge any actions, thoughts, or attitudes that were not in line with Your will. I recognize our shortcomings and our need for Your grace ( be specific)

Seek Forgiveness: Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness for us. Help us to improve in these areas and to walk more closely with You. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Set Intentions for Tomorrow: As I think about tomorrow, I set our intentions to follow Your will more closely. Help us to seek Your guidance in all we do.

Pray for Strength: I ask for Your strength, Lord, to make positive changes in our lives. "I can do all this through Him who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13).

Closing Prayer

Express Your Hopes: Father, I end this time of reflection with hope and confidence. I completely trust in Your provision and care for me and my loved ones.

Thank God: I thank You, Lord, for this time You have given me. You are our provider and I thank You for meeting all of our needs. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

Amen.
