Having the Endurance to PUSH

Many times we pray and want immediate answers, but sometimes God calls us to persist in prayer. Im sure you have heard the acronym "P.U.S.H.," or Pray Until Something Happens, it reminds us that prayer isn’t just a one-time act; it’s a process of continual trust in God’s timing.

I'm reminded of the story of Elijah and how he prayed for rain in 1 Kings 18. After a three-and-a-half-year drought, God promised rain, but Elijah still had to pray earnestly for it. He prayed seven times before his servant saw a small cloud in the distance—a sign that the rain was coming. Despite the delay, Elijah didn’t give up, showing us the power of endurance in prayer.

This story teaches us key lessons:

  1. Keep Praying: Even when you see no immediate results, don’t stop praying.

  2. Small Beginnings: Sometimes God’s answers start small, like the tiny cloud that led to a downpour.

  3. Trust His Timing: God’s timing is perfect, and His answers will come when the moment is right.

Just like Elijah, we must learn to P.U.S.H. when life’s challenges seem unchanging. The delay doesn’t mean denial! Instead it often means God is preparing something even greater than we can imagine. So, don’t give up. Pray Until Something Happens and trust that God is working behind the scenes.
