This week's blog will continue to encourage persistence in prayer, focusing on the importance of endurance and faith as we P.U.S.H.; Pray Until Something Happens. Last week, we learned from Elijah's story, but another powerful example from Scripture is the life of Daniel.
In Daniel 10, Daniel was in deep prayer and fasting for 21 d
ays, seeking understanding from God. He was troubled by a vision and needed answers. For three weeks, he prayed without hearing anything in return, yet he did not give up. Finally, an angel appeared to him, saying, "From the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard" (Daniel 10:12). The angel explained that a spiritual battle had delayed the answer, but Daniel's persistence broke through the opposition.
Daniel’s story shows us that even though he didn’t receive an answer right away, God heard him from the very beginning. It’s a reminder that when we P.U.S.H., things are happening in the spiritual realm, even if we can’t see them immediately!
Just like Daniel, we must continue to pray, trusting that God is moving, even if it feels like nothing is changing.
Here are some lessons we can take from Daniel:
Persist in Prayer: Even when answers don’t come quickly, continue praying with faith that God hears every word.
Spiritual Opposition is Real: Sometimes the delay in our prayers being answered is because of spiritual battles that we may not be aware of. Keep praying to break through those obstacles.
Endurance is Key: As we pray, endurance strengthens our faith and builds our trust in God’s perfect plan and timing.
God’s timing is always perfect, and though we may not see immediate results, our prayers are always heard. Let Daniel's example encourage you today—keep praying. Pray when you don’t feel like it, pray when you haven’t seen any change, and pray when it feels like the breakthrough is never going to come. Endurance is key. Trust that God is working, even if we don’t understand the delay.
So this week, continue to Pray Until Something Happens, and trust that God is moving in ways beyond what you can see! Keep pressing in, and don't give up.
